Meet the Big Dog Crew (…and Their Humans)
Around here, Bruno and Bowie are convinced they run the art studio. We don’t have the heart to tell them otherwise — two happy dogs equal a happy workshop. Between snack refills and nap marathons, they occasionally squeeze in their real jobs: posing for photos, inspecting projects, and supervising with extreme coziness. And honestly… who can resist a product approved by such handsome, drooly executives?
Then there’s Ava. Small. Silent. Absolute ruler of all. While the boys think they’re in charge, Ava is the true CEO — keeping the studio (and the dogs) in line with one unimpressed glare.
Established - 2011
Big Dog Art Studio was started by two New Jersey animal lovers who somehow blended dentistry and graphic design into a business full of handmade goodness. What began as making gifts for friends snowballed into a cozy studio full of sawdust, laser light, glitter, and a slightly unrealistic amount of treats for our furry staff.
We’re big believers in quality, craft, and sourcing local and organic materials whenever we can. Whether it’s wood, wax, or stainless steel — if we make it, we make it with care.
What we Create Around Here
Laser Cut & Engraved Goods
This is where the magic (and the laser) lives. We cut and engrave wood to create signs, ornaments, key holders, nightlights, bottle openers, and more — all stained or painted and finished by hand for that warm, made-with-love feel. We also do custom engraving for gifts and businesses.
Tumblers That Take Their Sweet Time
Our drinkware is made from double-walled stainless tumblers, then transformed layer by layer with glitter, inks, mica, vinyl, and resin. They take a couple weeks to complete because great things — and resin — take time to cure. Every cup is one-of-a-kind.
Clean-Burning Candles
We use natural soy wax (no paraffin here!) so your air stays clean and your home stays cozy. Each candle is hand-poured with care and made to burn beautifully.
Why We Do It
At the end of the day, we just love creating things that make people (and sometimes dogs) happy — whether it’s something from our shop or a fully custom idea you bring to us.
